A beautiful hotel, our community group had our Christmas Meal here. We had 5 wheelchair users in the party. The only one BIG NEGATIVE, is that there is no accessible toilet. Some of our party had to leave before their desserts as they were desperate for the toilet, a real let down at a Christmas Meal. The food was amazing, even the vegetarians had stunning dishes. We stayed 2 nights, it would be good to have more than 1 accessible suite in the hotel. My wife is a wheelchair user and didn't have a shower at all. Its so easily done. Reception and all other staff were great, very helpful.
Just want to share my experience of holding 2 baby showers here, both times we Could not fault the food especially the buffet we have booked again for a 3rd baby shower for June. Also came for breakfast with Santa
we had Sunday lunch here today. good was excellent very tasty. Beautiful yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. Staff friendly and polite. lovely experience all round
Xmas meal and overnight stay for a large party. Food was lovely, the staff catered for vegan and celiac who all really enjoyed it. The staff were clearly rushed off thier feet but were still a good crack. The oak bar is good, nice selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Hotel room was clean and well appointed. Will return here without a doubt.
Great overnight stay in the Lodge. Large living room with separate bedroom. Well equipped, warm and comfortable. Excellent service in reception from Emma. Incredibly well stocked bar and choice of wine. Lovely ‘village feel’ area of Norwich, will be back.
Stayed here last week and have stayed a few times. Staff very friendly, can’t do enough to help you. The room was very spacious, clean and nice comfy bed! The food very tasty and reasonably priced too. Will definitely be staying again
We held the NNUH Cardiology Christmas Party at Oaklands on the 13 December for 70 guests. It was fantastic. The room was lovely with different size tables giving it a restaurant feel. The food was great, really tasty and served without any issues. The staff on the night were welcoming, professional and kind. Christmas DJ hit the spot. We would definitely come back.
I honestly can't thank the Oaklands enough for everything. Holly was incredibly helpful in planning. Upon meeting her and Sharon I felt so welcome they treat you so lovely with open arms. Instantly making sure you get your dream wedding. Helping you with who to contact and how to plan (there was so much both taught me) Even showing us through websites, etc. Sharon with decorating is so amazing helping last-minute panics and making decorations I was worried about look like a fairy tale. Aaron who helped us on the day was so reassuring helping us with our nerves and knowing all the right timings and things to do. They all treat you like friends. I couldn't thank the Oaklands team enough, with the staff being so lovely and spot on as well. The venue is stunning, and so many guests also now want to get married here. Thank you so much Oaklands! You are all incredible and made mine and Michaels wedding day more then we have ever dreamed off.
